Blog Post #30
I think my artwork is awesome because I like to keep my art real majority of the time. I like to draw about real problems and issues in the world sometimes and this artwork shows an issue that i wish could be solved. This artwork is about how majority of girls, females in general are insecure and try to be like the women that they see in the media. It's about how females aren't really happy and only pretend to be happy and constantly have things that the media are putting in their head on their minds. I find this to be an issue because females are not living up to their full potential because their to focused on trying to look like what society thinks is beautiful. This is one of the reasons why I think my artwork rocks because I like to draw about serious problems sometimes.

The artist who did this artwork is Bansky. This artwork is called "policemen kissing," it was done by Bansky in the year 2005. Bansky is a graffitti artist who I think is changing ourselves/culture/society. The artwork done above, I think Bansky is trying to get people to see that being gay is alright, or at least that's what I think he is trying to say. I think that is what he trying to say because in the background the two yellow signs say "At any time, and "At any time except sun." Those two yellow sings I think mean that homosexuals should always be accepted. I think Bansky is a groundbreaking artist because he is always taking on problems and challenges that are going on today that people don't like to deal with. He expresses his distate and concern of today's problems by expressing them through his graffitti art or as some may like to say his vandalism on property. In his art he also tries to get people to try and solve and think about what he is trying to say through his art and what problems and issue he is trying to take on, and that is why I think he is a groundbreaking artist.

If I do something bad and there's no one there to catch me, does that make me good? :p Bart Simpson rocks because he's the posterchild for problem child :)

If I'm confused or don't know the answer to something, Google is always my first choice to find out what I don't know. Google is apart of my identity because it always helps me out and that's why I could never let it g o, so that's why google is apart of me because it is included in my everyday life.

I think Jackson Pollock was trying to say in his painting that you don't need to know how to draw to become a great artist. To me he was trying to show and express himself in his own unique type of art. He mastered this technique for he did not know how to draw like other artists but he never gave up, which in turn caused him to become a successful artist. He made his own type of art tecnique known by mastering the art of splashing paint on a canvas and so much more. His map of mind shows that he had a lot of creativty and a lot of thigns that he wanted to express so he released them into his art.

Different colors make up a painting
Their splashed here, there, and everywhere
They brighten up the mood, because their vibe is so intense
My mood is suddendly uplifted by this painting of rainbow colors
With lines and zig zags that spread everywhere
They go on and on spreading their gift
Until they reach every nook and corner of their canvas

Jackson Pollack poem
Paint flies here and there
Onto a canvas drips the soul of a man
Inspiration is conquered in a painting
As a search comes to an end a new style of painting is beginning
Liquor becomes the death of rareness
Anger consumes a soul in despair
Paintings are growing in popularity
Yet anger is far from subsiding and day by day a life begins to perish
Denial is so clearly evident
When it's all to much to bare
A true free-spirited mind is stripped from the entirety of the lost
The bearer of the grief haves one name indeed as it is marked upon paintings as Jackson Pollack
